Here is a list of some of the functions it will provide . 1) Add the ability to support 8" x 9" side armor plates with the additional soft armor inserts . 2) Add additional MOLLE/PALS webbing to the original platform on sides . 3) Address the issue of flexiability for the user as the cumberbund has adjustable shock-cord expansion to allow the user to breathe during vigorous activities . 4) Address the looseness of the Satch series as mags are extracted . Being an adjustable cumberbund , the shock-cord will allow the rig to tighten up as mags are extracted ( if adjusted correctly). 5) Add more MOLLE/PALS webbing to the rear panel . 6) Works well with some other gearmakers plate carriers .
